Home > First Things
There are a few essential things you will need to learn and\or setup before you begin working on the exercises in the class text, and developing your own websites for various class projects, The first instructions you will receive in this class are listed below. You will need to:
Know the location of this website, https://webdesign.cgcseaegles.org
Read the Chapters in the class text preceding each set of exercises.
Check Renweb daily for class assignments and lesson plans.
Check the lesson plan calendar for due dates.
Install and use a text editor.
Use the class textbook slides provided for each Chapter of the text.
Review the instructions on setting up Adobe Acrobat.
Install either Dropbox or Google Drive as directed by the instructor.
Set up a folder called "Class" in either Dropbox or Google Drive and share it with the instructor.
Once either Dropbox or Google Drive is installed, create a template.html file in the "Class" folder.
Know how to take a screenshot.
Know how to find answers to your HTML, CSS, and Javascript questions at the w3schools.com website.
Know how to use the markup validation service to check your HTML projects for any errors.
Know how to use the Windows key plus either the left or right arrow to display windows in split screen, allowing you to see two windows at once.
Finally, it is important that you do not fall behind in class. If you do, that will affect my ability to instruct the rest of the class, and that is not fair for them. To that end, if I observe that you are not working on the assignments in class, or paying attention to my instruction, that will be noted as non-participation for that day.
