Adobe Acrobat Reader is the preferred method of viewing PDF files. The class slides and other materials on this website are in the PDF format. You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader here.
(Please note that when you click on that link, the installation screen will open in your web browser. Be sure to uncheck any Optional Offers, that appear in the middle of the screen.)
It is also useful to configure Adobe Acrobat Reader so it uses smooth scrolling. Otherwise, as you turn the wheel of your mouse, the document will jump page by page, making it very difficult to find where you want to go. To make the change to smooth scrolling, follow these steps:
Start Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Click on the Edit pull-down menu and click on the last option, Preferences.
3. The Preferences windows will then open. On the left-hand side, click on Accessibility.
4. On the right-hand side, click the check box next to Always use Page Layout Style.
5. In the scroll down menu to the right of that, select Single Page Continuous.
6. That's it. Click on the OK button, and you are done.
